Dr. Marisabel Olivera, DMD
Pediatric Dentist
Hello! I’m Dr. Marisabel Olivera and I absolutely LOVE making kids smile. I attended Nova Southeastern University in Florida and then completed my two year post-doctorate hospital training in Pediatric Dentistry at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. I served as chief resident and received rigorous training in behavior management, operating room dentistry, trauma, and emergency treatment during my residency program. I am certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and I am an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the Florida Dental Association (FDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
At Journey Kids Dental, my team and I provide both preventative and therapeutic oral health care for children, starting from infancy through adolescence. I am passionate about caring for those with special needs and I am committed to promoting oral health in a warm and nurturing environment. When I’m not in the office, I love traveling to my native country of Puerto Rico and spending time with my family and loving husband, Adam. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Dr. Alejandra Romero, DMD
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Romero is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She attended Nova Southeastern University and obtained her degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), ranking in the top tier of her class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), a National Dental Honor Society. Immediately after dental school, Dr. Romero started her residency in Pediatric Dentistry and received her certificate from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
During her training, Dr. Romero has been providing dental care to infants, children, adolescents and children with special health care needs. Dr. Romero has also received extensive training in Behavior Management focus on both Basic and Advanced Behavior Guidance, which includes nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation as well as non-IV oral conscious sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Romero is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Florida Dental Association .
Dr. Romero and her husband Ludwig have three daughters Monica, Sabrina and Vanessa and two dogs, Yellow Lab named Cooper and a Shih Tzu named Ivy. Dr. Romero and her family enjoy the outdoors and traveling.

Dr. Arghavan Welch, DMD
Orthodontist
I’m Dr. Arghavan Welch and I’m an orthodontist at Journey Kids Dental. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Civil Engineering and Micro & Molecular Biology and I went on to receive a doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University and then completed advanced training in orthodontics at Jacksonville University where I served as chief resident and president of my class. I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Florida Dental Association and American Dental Association. I am bilingual in English and Farsi and I love getting to know my patients and being able to watch them transform from self-conscious to self-confident as their smiles become straight, healthy, and beautiful!
